Are You a Junior or High School Bluegrass Talent?

Can we help you grow - grow with two days of Master Classes in your instrument, in vocals, and in songwriting?

All fully funded by the Blue Ridge Center for Music and the Creative Arts.

The dates are Dec 29 and 30 at Graves Mountain Farm & Lodges.
If accommodations are needed, they are included.
All food included.

Bluegrass Master Classes in Excellence
December 29-30, 2023

This program is designed to facilitate the development of local Bluegrass musical talent and establish mentoring and support relationships between the faculty, which consists of nationally recognized bluegrass artists, and the participating high school students. There will be five concurrent workshops with two students in each. Our coaches are nationally recognized artists.

  • Vocals/songwriting
  • Bass
  • Mandolin
  • Banjo
  • Fiddle

Photography
In addition, there is an opportunity for one photography student to apprentice with a professional photographer who will be documenting the event.

Open to junior and high school students from central Virginia counties with demonstrated skills in the instrument workshop selected.

Limited to two students in each workshop area.

The students have been chosen; there no places remaining.
