$60 special jamming rate.
We call it "Pickin' in the Blue Ridge". A $10 pp Donation to Youth Bluegrass Classes is requested. - April 17-18, 2026 with special room and meals rates.
A special $85 room rate is available, but most jammers will be in the Campground.
- May 28 - May 30, 2026, during the Music Festival
Thursday (or earlier if you choose as many people arrive on Tuesday and Wednesday) to Sunday wrap-up. Must pay for Festival tickets. Camping for Thursday - Sunday is included in the 3-day ticket. We call it the "Festival Jam" - August 14-16, 2026 Friday to the Sunday wrap-up with discounted rooms and meals, but please pay for your camping. We call it "Summer Jam"
- October 30, 2026 - November 1, 2026 - Friday to Sunday wrap-up with discounted rooms and meals, but please pay for your camping. We call it "BooGrass"
These are not "Festivals"
- Rather a Community of Bluegrass Pickers
Vince May, the volunteer jams organizer says, "Please keep in mind that these are not music festivals with paid performers, rather these are informal community "jams" with both dedicated and learning Bluegrass pickers coming together for weekends of music, fun and a beverage or three."
Pickers are free-form in the Campground. As always.
The campground sits at the foothills of the mountains of the Blue Ridge, 11 miles west of Madison, VA, surrounded by 1800 acres of mountains & farm with animals, horses, meadow, forest and homestyle southern cooking at the Lodge. Overnight lodging in Lodge rooms or cabins, is available.
Friday- Saturday Nights
The jam weekends get tuned up for picking on the Friday night and continue through Saturday night with a leisurely pack up of RV and car on Sunday.
Bring an Instrument and Join In
Please bring your instrument and sit in, bring a camp chair and listen, cruise from campsite to campsite, listening.
